Waxing Services

Spa Solé only uses Lycon wax from Australia - the best low temperature wax available. Lycon lavender wax (known professionally as Lycojet) is what used to be known as a 'hard wax' (although it really isn't hard, it's more like pulling taffy). The great thing about lavender wax is that it goes on over a thin layer of pre-waxing oil, which keeps it from sticking to the skin and comes off without your esthetician having to put any strips on top of it. As lavender wax cools on the skin, it shrink wraps your hair, and pulls it out directly from the root, without the stinging discomfort associated with honey waxes. Lavender wax takes longer to apply and dry, though, so we save it for small, sensitive areas where the high quality of its gentle action will be well felt.

Chamomile wax, on the other hand, is an active gold strip wax that has gold platelets, titanium dioxide (which is very soothing) and chamomile, in a base of modified pine resin (which also melts at a lower temperature). It is applied very thinly on larger areas of the body, and taken off quickly with strips.
